After seeing an impressive victory of the Royal Challengers in chinnasamy stadium, guys decided to plan for movie. I rarely like any tamil movies so I kept on denying myself coming for movie. But as always "none listens me". They are similar to bollywood movies very boring except for few more silly stuffs like:
- there is no multi cast in tamil movies
- senseless fights are cheered most
- stupid romance of hero-heroine with love-dialogues picked from 15th centuary books
- hero signs movie only if there are 4fights, 5songs, touching heroine's back 3times atleast, 1kiss, 2bajji daily on sets, etc.
- most movies are commercial
- heroes with big fat tummies and bigggg moustache.
- heroines who have huge butts and are veryyyy fat.
Trisha's role in the movie is for name-sake. It used to be like a rule in Indian cinema that every hero must have a lover. But overtime bollywood grew up to realize this is un-necessary. It seems like tamil cinema is still not matured enough. There are not even need of any heroine in the movie, still the director insisted in having a heroine for our super-hero vijay in the movie. She keeps dreaming of Vijay and songs but our super-hero is busy saving people from villains.
I agree that Hindi movies are bad but atleast they are not as worst as kuruvi is. This movie has set a benchmark which I believe can only be broken by any other tamil movie only.
Bad: We bought tickets in black
Worse: We got the first row seats in theatre
Worst: The movie itself :(
Another disclaimer: all the character names presented here are fictious. hehe. :D

U ve seen Kuruvi. Idhu kevalam da.
:( tats my fate..
What annoyed me most was that we spent Rs. 235 (including travel expenses) to watch this crap on the very first day in the very 1st row of the theatre :(. Thats bad luck indeed !
I would have preferred watching a TR movie or a Baghistanis-slaying-Gap10 movie for the same ticket price..It would have been funny atleast ;)
You can become a writer.. Become a "humorous" story writer:D I bet u'll enjoy it for lifelong;)
@anju
I have taken to writing with the help of my blog. BTW its me or u who 'll enjoy life long reading it... huh..
The point here is not to get carried away with your comments - you cannot generalize from a too specific example.It just shows your callousness.
Agreed, kuruvi was a bad movie - a disappointment of magnanimous proportions. Bash it up as much as you want - But generalizing that to comment upon the behavior in the workplace of any person's is definitely unwarranted.
You seem to very familiar with 15th century books - so that you have recognized dialogues which have been plagiarized from them.
"senseless fights are cheered most stupid romance" - you are blatantly decrying the taste of a community here.
I really don't want to join the debate of a hindi-tamil cinema debate here, but its wise to say that north indians are famous for their arrogance and their film makers are callous enough to have the ludicrous notion of believing that hindi cinema is representative of india as a whole.
"There is mindless action which only afaik a tamil-superstar can perform -" This sentence seems to be inspired from an email forward. Film is an exaggeration of real life and every film maker does exaggerate to an extent. If you really need to watch flawless logic, impeccable action, gut-wrenching reality, I am afraid you will just have to stick to your discovery channels. Films are made to entertain. Audience should take them that way.
A blog is a public place wherein your writing is visible to the web. It is time, you learnt to filter your thoughts, so that it can make up for more suitable reading in a public forum.
@anonymous
"A blog is a public place" - Agreed. Then please reveal who you are like I did posting it WITH MY NAME.
"You seem to very familiar with 15th century books" - YES :)
"ts wise to say that north indians are famous for their arrogance" - Only 'south-indians' feel so. NOT all.
"f you really need to watch flawless logic, impeccable action, gut-wrenching reality", "Films are made to entertain".
But atleast IT SHOULD MAKE SENSE.
All I can see in your reply is that you too are tooooooooo obsessed and proud of tamil cinema.
Cheers,
Amit :)
Enjoying is a two way process. U write n enjoy, n me by reading it.. no issues on tat:D Good going.. keep it up.
thnx a lot 4 appreciation. :)
Well, Making stupid movies with only actor's in mind and wafer thin scripts is widespread in bollywood as well...!!!
Its not like u find revealing attires for heroines, ridiculous action scenes only in tamil movies..!!!
It all depends on what u choose to watch..!! If I ended up watching tashan, ram ki aag,saawariya r jimmy to get an idea of wat bollywood as to offer...
I wud be as despised with hindi movies as u seem to be tamil movies..!!!
@gkmaestro
I guess you forgot to read this line.
"They are similar to bollywood movies very boring"
I agree bollywood movies are sensless but afaik very less movies break laws of physics :D
All the movies u mentioned are not only detested by me as well as entire public who saw those. Luckily I dont c such movies at all. :)
perhaps that didnt catch my eye...!!
